Monica Nahabwe is an Economist at Rabia Transitions, where she engages with data and literature, conducts advanced analysis and visualisation, and synthesises insights on green central banking, monetary policy, and climate-aligned financial systems. She brings over eight years of experience across national and international institutions, including Uganda’s Ministry of Finance and the Office of the President, where she advised on fiscal policy, industrialisation, and climate-resilient development. At the Organisation of Southern Cooperation, she contributed to debt policy research and co-authored a Global South debt guide highlighting structural vulnerabilities and financing gaps. As an independent researcher, Monica has examined whether climate finance flows truly reflect vulnerability, applying econometric and data science methods to test the alignment between risk and finance. She holds a Master of Statistics from Makerere University and is pursuing a Master of Science in Financial Engineering at World Quant University. Outside of work, Monica loves nature walks and dancing — to any beat.
